Role overview
As an Operations Associate, you'll be at the core of OAREX's daily funding activity. You'll process receivables purchases, reconcile daily receipts, and work closely with clients to ensure accuracy and speed in every transaction. You'll collaborate across Sales, Operations, and Credit teams to ensure client and portfolio success. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and excited to learn the ins and outs of specialty finance.
Key responsibilities
- Process receivable purchases, advances, and settlements with accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor client accounts and reserves; reconcile balances and flag discrepancies.
- Assist with onboarding new clients, including gathering documents and ensuring compliance with credit policies.
- Support internal reporting on funding activity, cash flow, and portfolio performance.
- Communicate with clients about funding schedules, account activity, and transaction details.
- Collaborate with Operations team on process improvements and automation projects.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with OAREX's internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in operations, accounting, client services, or finance.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with QuickBooks, CRM systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Clear and professional communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
- Interest in fintech, digital media, and receivables financing is a strong plus.
