First it was EMX (Big Village) filling for bankruptcy, with over $50 million in liabilities and leaving more than 5,000 creditors hoping to collect pennies on the dollar. Then, Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) experienced the largest bank run in history and became the second biggest bank failure, after Washington Mutual Bank in 2008. A 40 year institution that helped pioneer financing for tech companies was closed by the FDIC with more than 85% of its deposits uninsured. While economic catastrophe has been staved off thanks to regulators stepping in to backstop SVB losses, and depositors can breath a little easier, these recent failures are a stark reminder that credit risk is very real and extremely painful. What are the Top Payor Awards
The OAREX Top Payor awards recognizes programmatic demand partners who consistently pay their supply partners on-time. Top Payors are announced on a bi-annual basis and must meet the following criteria:
- The payor must be a programmatic partner.
- OAREX must have processed at least 6 payments from the payor during the period being evaluated.
- All payments in the period must be within 3 days of the due date except one payment may be late (a mulligan), but by no more than a week.
